The Ohio Kubb Championship, the largest kubb event in Ohio. The event is designed to be fun for all skill levels and no knowledge of the game is required before the event.

The 2021 Ohio Kubb Championship

Date: September 4th, 2021

Location: Martindale/Middlebranch Park – Canton, Ohio (4053 Martindale Rd NE, Canton, OH 44702)

The tournament will take place on Saturday, September 4th, 2021, at Martindale/Middlebranch Park. Registration/Check-in begins at 8:00AM.

Tournament Information

Cost: $40 per team for the Competitive Tournament
Teams: Minimum 2 players, Maximum 6
Format: 7 round “Klassic Format” with triple elimination championship.

We will be using the U.S. National Kubb Championship® Rules V3.2. with the exception of the “Neighbor Rule” which can be found at Kubb On

For the Competitive Tournament there will be 6 qualifying rounds of single games each having a 25 minute time limit using the “Klassic Format”. After that all teams will be seeded in the championship bracket.

Tournament Schedule:

7:00 – 8:40 – Practice, Learn to Play
8:00 – 8:40 – Registration/Check-In
8:40 – Team Captain Meeting
9:00 – 1st qualifying round begins
9:30 – 2nd qualifying round begins
10:00 – 3rd qualifying round begins
10:30 – 4th qualifying round begins
11:00 – 5th qualifying round begins
11:30 – 6th qualifying round begins
12:00 – Lunch Break and Golden Baton Challenge
1:00 – Tournament play begins

Competitive Bracket – Top 8 teams – Triple elimination single game matches with no time limit. If you lose the first round, you may optionally join the Recreational Bracket.

Recreation Bracket – Remaining teams and optional join from those that lose in the first round of the Competitive Bracket. Double Elimination.
