The Ohio Kubb Championship is the largest Kubb event in Ohio. The event is designed to be fun for all skill levels and no knowledge of the game is required before the event.
The 2017 Ohio Kubb Championship
Date: May 20th, 2017
Location: Stadium Park – Canton, Ohio (1601 Stadium Park Drive Northwest, Canton, OH)
The Ohio Kubb Championship is partnering with The City of Canton Parks and Rec Department, and Oddmall, to present the 2017 Ohio Kubb Championship Tournament.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Stadium Park. Registration begins at 8:00AM and play starts at 10:00AM.
Proceeds benefit the Canton Garden Center.
The event will also be accompanied by the Oddmall: Emporium of the Weird – Riverside Ramble along the walking trails at Canton’s beautiful Stadium Park. With space for over 320 vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, games and activities!
The tournament will be 2-6 person teams. Registration opens February 1st. The cost is $40 per team.
We will be using the U.S. National Kubb Championship® Rules V3.2. with the exception of two rules:
1. Minimum 2 players, no player may throw more than 3 batons per round
2. The “Neighbor Rule” which can be found in the Kubb United Rules for Open Play
There will be 7 qualifying rounds of single games each having a 25 minute time limit using the “Klassic Format”. After that the top 8 teams will be seeded in the championship bracket, the next 24 teams (9-24) will be seeded in the Consolation bracket.

9:40 – Team Captain Meeting
10:00 – 1st qualifying round begins
10:30 – 2nd qualifying round begins
11:00 – 3rd qualifying round begins
11:30 – 4th qualifying round begins
12:00 – Lunch Break and Golden Baton Challenge
1:00 – 5th qualifying round begins
1:30 – 6th qualifying round begins
2:00 – 7th qualifying round begins
2:30 – Championship & Consolation bracket play begins
Championship Bracket – Best 2 out of 3 matches with no time limit
Consolation Bracket Play – 1 game matches with 30 minute time limits
